So a few of my good friends here know that I suffer from severe depression. It’s gotten to the point where I was in the hospital for a while in their mental ward just to watch me and tweak my medications.
After that, my school decided to let me get a support animal.
That support animal is a shelter dog by the name of Maple Tatertot, Tater for short. She’s a four year old blue heeler and has quickly won the hearts of the university students.
She’s been with us for a couple of weeks and already everyone loves her. She’s a wonderfully sweet dog, loves everyone and loves to snuggle on the couch with us. She never chews or barks or makes noise, ever.
We took her to the vet for her checkup after we took her home and found that what I thought were misshapen teeth were actually broken teeth.
The vet pointed out that she had her tooth nerves poking out of one. The same tooth on the other side is also similarly broken. She didn’t like it being touched.
Most of her front teeth are broken or damaged. Her bottom incisors don’t pass her gumline because they’ve broken and been worn down. Her canines are stumpy and uneven.
The procedure will cost at least $500. Being at a university, I cannot just shell out that money. But as docile as it makes her, I feel like it’s better for everyone if she’s not in pain.
So I’m asking for help. Any money possibly left over after her surgery will be used toward Tater things. Food, vet visits, vaccines, etc. Just taking care of Tater, basically. But this is a priority because she doesn’t like eating kibble and canned food is quite expensive (when we’re trying to, at the same time, avoid the really sketchy generics that may or may not have sawdust).
So help if you can, please! You can also donate to my paypal at MagicallyCapricious@Gmail.Com
Please help us with this expense. We have contacted the shelter and no one reported it apparently, so we’re on our own.
and I will be willing to make or draw anything. ANYTHING if you want something tangible in return.
Thank you, and if you cannot donate or contribute, please Signal Boost This.
